Saint Peters

Hey everyone!

So... last week for p-day we hiked to the tip top of Saint Peters! I say hiked because there was like 14 million stairs (not exaggerating!) . It cost £5 to take the stairs all the way and £7 if we used an elevator to pass the first 1000 stairs, however I was not about to pay £2 that could go to the purchase of a gelato to take a 5 second elevator ride! in a few spots the stair case got so narrow and leaned at an angle so you felt like you were walking on the walls then at one point they got so steep that there was a rope to hold onto as you climbed them, but mama mia, that view was incredible! you could seriously see the whole city! I hope the temple will be visible from there, I bet it will be!

It was a rough week as far as fall through appointments! but I am sure things will be on the up and up this week! We have been doing a lot of finding work, mostly surveys that ask people questions about the holy ghost or the purpose of life, and it is so interesting to hear the varying responses. One of these moments when we were doing finding work we went to this great big park and got onto this like nature trail that went into the woods and after walking for about 15 minutes we turned back around and started walking back down and passed a police car driving up the trail, I couldn't help but laugh, I mean seriously if they are trying to catch someone in the woods there large police vehicle in the middle of this nature trail might not be the best sneak approach. who knows, maybe they were just trying to find a shortcut to avoid the traffic. later on down further down the trail we passed to police men on horseback, and It made me think of the movie Elf. neither the policemen in cars or on horseback seemed to be in any hurry so I am sure it wasn't anything serious.

I am still loving life as a missionary. I love this gospel so much! we really are blessed to have the knowledge we do of our heavenly fathers great plan for us! Have a great week!!!
