Ahh I have so much to say this week and so little time! I will try to type fast!
First off on Tuesday Elder Holland came and spoke to us. he gave one of the best talks I have ever heard! it was awesome and just really got us all pumped and ready to go to work. Me and Sorella Watson had kind of weird seats so we were looking at the side of his head if we looked at him and not at one of the many screens that his face is projected onto, but when we left after the fireside the door we went out of just happened to be the one the car passed by as he road away. We got up to the front of the crowd on the curb just in time to see Elder Holland way up close! he waved at us then point (right at me and sister watson I swear!) and said "I love you." It was so amazing! I have never been that close to an apostle, and his love was tangible! He looked at us like he knew us all individually! I hope I can look at people that way too!
On Wednesday we got a ton of new missionaries! 17! They came in last wednesday instead of tomorrow because no missionaries come in the week of Thanksgiving. Unfortuantely for them it means they have to stay an extra week in the MTC. Speaking of weeks in the MTC I only have 3 more! holy hannahs! that is so crazy! On Saturday one of our teachers just had a question answer period about italy with us and it got me so excited!
On thursday at the RC me and sorella Watson chated with a girl who was concerned about her sister-in-law who was baptised about a year and 1/2 ago but was no longer attending church and felt so burdened with sin she didn't believe in God anymore. The girl we were talking to was not a member of the church herself, but by the end of our conversation on LDS chat we had helped her request the missionaries for her sister-in-law and gotten her interested in learning more herself. We got her e-mail address and phone number and so I'll let you know if anything comes of it. It was so cool!
Saturday we had a "zone conference" type meeting. It was great! all the talks were so uplifting! Me and the 5 other sisters in my district sang an Italian Hymn as a musical number.
Sunday was the day of absolute crazyness! AHHH Me and Sorella Hansen were singing a duet for our zone sacrament meeting, and you know how nervous I get about singing in public! yeah so I decided maybe it would be a good idea to fast so I could get some extra blessings of comfort and then I also decided I might as well get a blessing from our district leader as well, because he is always reminding us that they hold the priesthood and anytime we feel we need a blessing to just ask. So I did and I felt comforted. On Saturday night the zone leaders were setting up the sacrament program and asked if I'd say the closing prayer and I told them I was singing and they said "yeah so?" and So I agreed to say the closing prayer. Ok so sacrament meeeting comes and guess who is selected as one of the Italian talks? yeah me! it was sister swenson sacrament meeting! I spoke then stayed at the pulpit and sang and then returned at the end to pray. Yikes! I felt pretty good about everything. I was glad that I had the extra blessings to help me do it all though! With all the new missionaries it made the crowd a bit bigger so it was good to have my nerves calmed.
Well I have next to no time so I will end this e-mail by saying how grateful I am for all of you! I love you so much! I love hearing from you! I love your letters and your pictures. Pretty much I have the best family in the world! Take care and have a great Thanks giving!
