I'll Be In Rome For Christmas

Ciao!

I hope everyone is doing well this week! how was everyones Thanksgiving??? Mine was just dandy. The food wasn't the best, but it wasn't bad, and I was really grateful for all those people who prepared it for us, it would stink to have to work on Thanksgiving! As a service project the entire MTC made 10,000 first aid kits for the humanitarian aid program. It was pretty neat to be apart of such a huge service project.

Elder Neunchschwander (spelling?) came and spoke. He gave a really good talk. His wife spoke for like 5 minutes before he spoke and she was chewing gum while she spoke, hmm... weird. Anyway he gave an awesome talk and me and Sorella Watson compiled a huge list of things we are grateful for. We were divided into 2 groups for the service project and while one group made first aid kits the other group had to stay in the auditorium and watch some choir concert from the 80's. ha ha most the Elders hated it, they were all sleeping or making fun of it or reading. I admit it wasn't my favorite thing in the world, but it was a good laugh.

So they announced today that Elder Wirthlin died. Mama mia that sure made me sad! Elder wirthlin was my favorite, and my greatest wish was that he would come speak to us, ha ha even though I knew he was probably too fragile to. Anyway I actually teared up when they made the announcement. I bet he is having one heck of a reunion on the other side.

On Sunday we had a speaker named Robert P. Swensen. He gave a way good talk. he was an etertaining speaker, and even though he spells his name wrong I really enjoyed what he had to say. He talked about all the things we have to be grateful for and reminded us of the great privalige it is to serve a mission.

I bought new scriptures! yay! the only bad thing is now I don't have anything marked, ha ha oh well I guess that's what new scriptures are for making you find new insights and remarking important vs. I love the book of mormon. I get so much more out of it these days. I wish I had taken more advantage of the Book of Mormon before I entered the MTC. Everyday I find new ways the scriptures are applicable to me and my life. Yesterday one of our teachers made a comparason from the story of the brother of Jared to the plan of salvation and it was incridible! one because I love the story of the brother or jared, two because I'd never looked at it that way and three she was speaking in Italian the whole time and I could understand 90% of what she was saying.

We are down to the wire. Only 2 more weeks until we leave!!! we are making it a goal to SYL (speak your language) more this week, it is definitely needed!

I love this gospel. I know it is true with all my heart, and even if it is hard for me to express what I feel, the spirit can bridge any language gap. This message is so important and I feel so strongly that I need to share it with as many people as I possibly can. Pray for the missionaries, but even more than praying for the missionaries, pray for missionary experieces in your own lives. I dare you to! I know that there are opportunities all around us. Share what you know! do it! we are all God's children.

I love you all. I hope all is well and that you enjoy the Holiday season. Vi voglio Bene!
