Fa Freddo in questi giorni!!!!
Burr…. So yeah I am ready for spring! How about you all? It is February! No way is time going by this fast! Next week is transfers so we will find out our fate on Tuesday evening. I am not predicting anything, cause I have no ideas. We’ll see.
So last Wednesday we checked out the Villa borgese museum. It was really cool. It amazes me how large hunks of marble could be carved down with so much intricate detail and care. Really it was sweet. My favourite piece was a statue of Daphne running from a forest God. ( I don’t really know the story behind it other than what I heard from someone elses explanation). The girl is running and this man has caught her with one arm around her waist and because he is from the forest she is changing into a tree and there are leaves and twigs sprouting from her finger tips and hair and bark growing up around her legs. So cool.
Aside from the museum we also discovered a new really good pizza place and it is terrible because I crave it all the time! I am gonna miss the pizza for sure when I have to go! Not all pizza in italy is good, but when you find the good stuff… mama mia it is so good.
Last week there were 2 baptisms, and if all goes well our investigator, Angelo should be baptised this Saturday. He has seriously been like the perfect investigator. No objections to anything, no hesitation just an eagerness to do what we ask and teach. Our district has really been on fire this transfer and I hope we can keep stoking the flame.
Today our big p-day plans include a trip to Hardrock café and I am so excited!!! You have no idea how good a burger can be when you eat like one every 3 months. Oh the simple pleasures in life.
So it has been super cold this past few days and when we get home in the evening the bus leaves us with about a 15 minute walk home unless another bus happens to be passing by then we can hop on that one and it takes 2 minutes to get home. Last night it was freezing and I saw a bus approaching in the distance and so I said, we are getting that bus! We took off sprinting for the stop that was about a block away and we were just about to it when the bus started to overtake us and there was no one at the stop to call the bus, however the bus slowed to a stop and opened its doors for us. Yeah for nice bus drivers who stop for crazy missionary girls sprinting down the road with skirts and scarves flapping in the breeze. I think it goes to show that if you do your part, give it all you got, you will be rewarded.
I love you all. I hope that you are having a good February and that school and work are treating you well. Pray for missionary opportunities, they’ll come!
Vi voglio bene!!!
