Buona Pasqua!

I hope you all had a wonderful Easter. I sure enjoyed myself. Here in Italy they have these hollow chocolate Eggs in different sizes with surprises inside. Me and my comp bought ourselves each an egg for our easter celebration and then an investigator also gave us one to share. They really come in a varity of sizes, I saw one at a bar that they were auctioning off and it was huge! it was like 4 feet tall! For Easter day itself all the missionaries went to a member families home (the Rossetti family) and ate really wonderful food! I sure do love italian food.

Speaking of really good food, remember about that lady we did service for and she fed us and then we burned our hand on her hot plates? Well we went and did service for her again this week and once again she made us some amazing food! and today me and Sister Skabelund are going back over to make cake because today is Sister Skabelund's Birthday. I will bring my camera and hopefully get some good pictures for you all to see, cause the view from her home is amazing!

Me and sister Skabelund taught the lesson in our district meeting this week. We talked about being yourself, imperfections and all. we used some scripture examples of great prophets who had moments of doubt and weakness too and then focused on Mormon chp. 9 vs.31-33 where Moroni is talking about how they had to write the book of mormon in egyption instead of hebrew and how he feels pretty imperfect. (I got the idea from my old MTC teacher Sorella Birdsall) I really like the story because I can totally relate with having to speak Italian when I would feel so much more confortable using English but just like the book of mormon is powerful beyhond compare, the lord can make my weaknesses strong. My comp shared with me an awsome quote her trainer shared with her, "just because you could have done better, doesn't mean you didn't do your best." and you know what, it is true!

This transfer has just flown by, next week (monday) we get transfer calls and I find out if I will be sticking around in Pescara. I kind of don't want to leave yet. I really love Pescara and I love our investigators! We'll see what happens.

I feel really boring today... sorry. I don't know if I have anything exciting to say. Nothing can top last weeks earthquake. :) I guess I will just remind you all how much I love you!! It really is so great to have such a good support system back home. Keep enjoying life and taking pictures and keeping me updated. This gospel is so amazing and true and I know it is the only thing in this life that brings true happiness! take care!

This is a picture of the entire mission at the conference in Rome when Elder Oaks came. Here I am with Sister Skabelund enjoying some home made raviolli....Yum!
