Short and Sweet

So I don’t have a lot of time to write today, cause we are spending p-day with an awesome family here in our ward who are actually American even though their last name is Montagnoli. So since I have just a little bit of time I wanted to just write real quick about the song we sang at the baptism.

Just a side note before I start: I did not realize that 1.) sister burt was recording a video of us practicing and 2.) that she e-mailed it home! Seesh!! It kills the story I was going to tell you! But I had it on my mind to share with you today so I am doing it anyways. So me and my companion sang the song “In a coming day” at this baptism, and as everyone who knows me is aware I suffer from stage fright to the extreme. However when we got up to sing this song, even though I was shaking a bit I felt the quiet confidence of the spirit all around and as we shared the beautiful words of the apostle Bruce R. McConkie’s testimony I felt as if I were sharing my testimony too. We started the song and it is in unison and then it gets to the part where it splits into harmony and I looked up as we split and saw the faces of everyone in the congregation mesmerized on us as we sang. The spirit was so strong. When we finished the song and sat down I was still shaking. At the conclusion of the baptism we got so many compliments, but I promise you it was not thanks to me and my companion, but the spirit and the power of an apostles testimony. We had many people tell us how our singing brought back memories of their baptism, or their missions. Even if it was in English and not all understood the words, the spirit speaks a language that all can understand.

Ok sorry but I warned you this was gonna be short this week. I love you all and I am so grateful for you!!!

Oh and Dan thanks so much for the e-mail with the info from Ecuador!!!

Vi voglio Bene!!!
