February Already?

Well another week has come and gone, and I cant believe it is February already! Holy Hannahs! So lets see… what to tell you. We got two new missionaries Anziono Jackson from DC is our new district leader and Anziono Chadwick from Brigham City is our other new Elder. I can tell they are gonna be good missionaries because when they came they brought us our mail from the Mission office! Yeah for mail. Ha ha.

Hmm so this week was a pretty good week. One lady who we visit always gives us treats, and because I mentioned to her I liked chocolate she made us a whole cake with chocolate in it, ha ha. She is a nice lady, but the missionaries have been visiting her off and on for like14 years and she has had a couple baptism dates set, but never has actually gone through with it. She is very expressive and dramatic she kind of reminds me of Nelly’s mom from little house on the prairie, ha ha. She has a good heart, and I hope that she will eventually come around.

Another investigator that we have is a lady who speaks perfect English cause she grew up in New York. She is nice but I think she might only like our visits because she can speak English with someone, either way she always takes us to a bar (café) and buys us hot chocolate and so this last Monday while we were in the bar she guilted me into singing for her. I had sung part of where can I turn for peace in English and she liked it and made me write down the lyrics for her and she wanted me to sing it to her, ha ha so I sang all 3 vrs of it while we sat in this café. It was just me sister steensen her and the bar tender, but still it was kinda weird, ha ha. Oh well.

We are discussing the word of wisdom with an investigator I told you about, (the one with out family encouragement) and hopefully picking a baptism date!!! I pray all goes well with the appointment this Thursday. She has a testimony of the book of Mormon and she reads it all the time and she says she knows it is true and that Joseph Smith was a prophet. She is such an awesome example to her family (her husband and 2 kids).

Hmm… Mom requested I talk about my most memorable moment thus far here in Pescara and I don’t even know what that would be. Hmm… I will think on it and report back next week. As far as the best food I have eaten definitely the Ravioli. Aside from that I guess pasta in general has surprised me. I didn’t know if I would like eating pasta so often, but it really hasn’t been that bad and I really like to eat it with zucchini. Yum!

I will keep you updated on how our appointments go this week. Thank you so much for all your love and support, and for your encouraging words. I really am so blessed to have such an amazing support system back home. I love this gospel. I am so grateful for the knowledge and understanding I have of the atonement and the plan of salvation. I am so blessed. Take care!

Seriously Ash! So jealous! You should start writing down recipes from each of your areas...that way you can 1. share those amazing dishes and recipes with us when you return and 2. you keep like a recipe journal...recipe and a memory...shoot you might actually be able to make money off of it!
