Well everyone, I am exactly one week away from hoping on a plane to Italy! Crazy how fast time flies!
We got our flight plans on Friday and we were all so excited it was hard to get any studying done! All of us going to Rome have the same flight, but the 7 going to Milan are split up on 2 different flights. Our group flys from Utah to Texas then from Texas to London and then from London to Rome! I am not sure how I am gonna sleep on the flight if I can't curl up in my seat like I normally would. (man I miss pants!). I'm sure it will be a super fun flight. since I can't watch movies I will read my scriptures and my 501 verb book. I am scared to hear actual Italians speak to me! I'm also way excited!
We taught our last lesson in the TRC yesterday. It was really cool because the volunteer we taught was the same volunteer we taught our very first trip to the TRC and I could really see how my Italian had improved. I feel pretty good about the language when I am just speaking with other non native speakers, but Italains speak so fast I know it is gonna take me a while to get use to it and to be able to understand it.
We had to attend a rediculous heath and safety meeting yesterday night. It went on forever! and the old man teaching it said some of the dumbest things. our Elders kept a quote book from the meeting. He talked about the 10 commandments of health and safety stuff like how to purify water and how to eat healthy and exerciese. at one point he was talking about not going near the beach and he randomly shared some story about a man who was proposing to his girl friend on the beach and when he turned to get the ring out she was swept out to sea. ha ha? It was a great meeting.
Sunday was fast sunday and I absolutely love fast sundays! we has an awesome mission conference and heard some outstanding talks. and in sacrament meeting everyone from my district bore their testimonies including me. and then a few other brave souls from the wrest of our zone. (It was all in Italian.)
On Sunday we got to watch the first presidency Christmas devotional. It was so good! I hope you all saw it. I just love our Prophet and his counselors. They are great!
So since this is my last p-day hear in the MTC you probably won't get an e-mail from me nextweek but look forward to hearing from me when I'm in Italy! We have a count down chain hanging in our room and there are only 7 links left. Crazy! I still can't believe That I'm a missionary! But I love it. I feel like I have grown and changed so much. My testimony is so much stronger and I just feel so grateful for this gospel everyday of my life!
Ciao
